Jeff Tucker is Coastal Mosquito Control's
Urban Entomologist. He directs the design of misting system
applications and develops the strategies for overall mosquito
control efforts. He routinely consults with Coastal Distributors
regarding the selection and formulation of products to be
used in the misting system, taking into account whether the
CoastalMister is being used as a single line of defense or
in combination with other pest management efforts.
Jeff received his Bachelor of Science in Entomology from Texas
A&M University in 1972 and is a Board Certified Entomologist,
a Registered Sanitarian and a Certified Pest Control Applicator
in the State of Texas.
A contributing editor for Pest Control Technology since 1981,
Jeff has authored its monthly question and answer column.
He is also a contributing editor for the Pest Management Quarterly
and has authored over sixty technical papers, recently completed
a chapter on " Pest Management in Sensitive Environments"
in the 8th edition of Handbook of Pest Control and is a contributing
author to the Handbook of Household and Structural Insect
Pests published by the Entomological Society of America.
Jeff has served as consultant to the Texas Structural Pest
Control Board, has assisted in writing the Texas Structural
Pest Control licensing examinations and has served as a member
of the Training and Evaluation Committee of the Texas Structural
Pest Control Board.
Over his professional career, Jeff has taught hundreds of
pest management seminars and training programs throughout
the United States and Canada. As a consulting entomologist,
his clients have included pesticide manufacturers and suppliers,
Port Authorities, hospitals, pest control companies, trade
associations, food processing facilities, museums, the United
States Department of Agriculture, the United States Air Force
and numerous individuals and businesses involved in all aspects
of pest management.
Jeff is a member of the Entomological Society of America,
Southwestern Society, Florida Entomological Society, International
Isoptera Society,National Pest Management Association, American
Registry of Professional Entomologists and American Chemical
Society.
